Shipping policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026.

How to cite this policy. Each delivery rule has a section number (for example, Section 6.2). References to a section include its subsections.

1. Scope and local service

1.1. This Shipping Policy governs local delivery and prearranged pickup by Dopamine Flowers LLC. We deliver fresh arrangements on Oahu and do not ship fresh arrangements by postal or parcel carrier.

1.2. All times are Hawaii Standard Time (HST). Availability shown online can change before checkout based on address, date, flower supply, staffing, route, and courier capacity.

2. Delivery area and fees

2.1. We deliver only to Oahu addresses accepted at checkout or approved by us in writing. We do not deliver to a PO box.

2.2. The delivery fee is based on the destination and is displayed before payment. A priority or narrower window, address correction, waiting time, return trip, or approved redelivery may carry a separate disclosed charge.

2.3. An address accepted by checkout is not a representation that a particular building, base, facility, room, event, or person will permit direct access.

3. Same-day and future-date orders

3.1. Orders completed before 6:00 PM HST may be eligible for same-day delivery when materials and route capacity remain available. The cutoff is an eligibility deadline, not a guarantee that same-day capacity remains open.

3.2. Same-day work can enter production immediately. Changes or cancellation are not guaranteed after payment and are governed by Section 6 of the Refund Policy.

3.3. Future dates may sell out. An order is scheduled for the date and service shown in its confirmation unless we contact the purchaser and obtain agreement to a change or provide another remedy required by law.

4. Delivery windows

4.1. Standard delivery is ordinarily 12:00 PM-7:00 PM. Standard delivery does not include a promised arrival time within that window.

4.2. When offered, a paid 9:00 AM-12:00 PM, 12:00 PM-3:00 PM, 3:00 PM-5:00 PM, 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, or other priority window means we schedule and route the order for that window. It is not an absolute guarantee against traffic, weather, emergency, facility delay, inaccurate information, or another circumstance outside reasonable control.

4.3. A preferred time written only in order notes is a request, not a purchased delivery window. We may deliver before a ceremony, service, check-in, shift, or surprise time when reasonably necessary to complete a safe and authorized handoff.

4.4. If we miss a separately paid priority window for reasons within our reasonable control but complete delivery the same date, the purchaser may request review of the priority-window fee. The arrangement and base delivery fee are not automatically refundable solely because arrival occurred outside a non-guaranteed window.

5. Required address and contact information

5.1. The purchaser must provide a complete address, unit or room, building or facility name, gate or access code, recipient's full name and working telephone number, purchaser contact information, and material delivery instructions.

5.2. The purchaser must verify that the recipient, venue, hospital, hotel, funeral home, cemetery, office, school, military installation, or gated property accepts the delivery. We may rely on the information supplied without independently verifying it before dispatch.

5.3. Address or date changes are effective only after our team confirms them. A change after design work or dispatch can require a new fee, rescheduling, redelivery, or remake.

6. Recipient unavailable and safe delivery

6.1. The purchaser authorizes us to contact the recipient when reasonably necessary for access or delivery, unless we expressly agree to another plan. We do not guarantee that every gift will remain a surprise.

6.2. If the recipient is unavailable, the courier may leave the order in a reasonably safe, shaded location or hand it to an adult resident, neighbor, front desk, concierge, receptionist, security desk, mailroom, nurse station, funeral-home representative, venue representative, or other person reasonably appearing authorized to receive it.

6.3. Delivery is complete when the order is handed to the recipient or an authorized representative, or placed at a reasonably safe location consistent with the instructions and documented by status, timestamp, photograph, or courier record.

6.4. We will not leave an order when, in the courier's reasonable judgment, the location is unsafe, exposed to damaging heat or weather, prohibited, inaccessible, or likely to endanger a person, animal, vehicle, or property.

7. Failed attempts, redelivery, and returns to studio

7.1. If delivery cannot be completed because of inaccurate or incomplete information, no response, refusal, restricted access, prohibited items, unsafe conditions, or no safe handoff, the order may be returned to our studio.

7.2. Redelivery is subject to product condition and route capacity. The purchaser may be required to pay a new delivery fee and, if freshness or damage requires a remake, the reasonable cost of replacement materials and labor.

7.3. Delivery and redelivery charges are not refundable after the corresponding service is dispatched or attempted, except when the failure was caused by us or a refund is otherwise required by law.

8. Restricted destinations

8.1. Hotels and resorts may require the registered guest name, reservation status, room number, and front-desk handoff. We cannot guarantee room delivery or delivery before check-in.

8.2. Hospitals and care facilities may prohibit flowers in certain units or require delivery to a desk. The purchaser should confirm the patient's legal name, unit, room, admission status, and facility rules. A facility handoff completes delivery even if staff later delays or refuses bedside delivery.

8.3. Military installations, schools, government buildings, offices, gated properties, and event venues may require identification, a sponsor, security screening, loading instructions, or an authorized contact. We do not guarantee entry beyond the designated handoff point.

8.4. We may refuse to enter a location or follow an instruction that appears unlawful, unsafe, harassing, or inconsistent with property rules.

9. Funeral, memorial, cemetery, and time-sensitive delivery

9.1. The purchaser must provide the deceased's or honoree's name, service date and start time, funeral home or venue, room or chapel if applicable, on-site contact, and any required card wording.

9.2. We may deliver funeral or memorial flowers before the stated service time so staff can place them. Handoff to an authorized funeral-home, cemetery, church, or venue representative completes delivery.

9.3. A graveside or cemetery delivery requires prior confirmation of an accepted handoff point. We do not leave an arrangement at an unverified grave or outdoor location unless we expressly approve that plan.

10. Holidays and high-volume periods

10.1. Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, graduations, major holidays, severe-weather periods, and large events can have extended windows, limited products, earlier cutoffs, and reduced change availability. The checkout selection and any holiday notice control over a general estimate.

11. Third-party couriers and proof of delivery

11.1. We may use employees or third-party couriers, including Uber Direct or a similar provider. We remain the merchant contact for an order placed with us.

11.2. Tracking, call masking, text updates, timestamps, GPS-derived status, recipient signature, and delivery photographs may be used when available. A tracking estimate can change and is not a separate delivery guarantee.

12. Delays, non-delivery, and events outside control

12.1. Traffic, collision, road closure, severe weather, natural disaster, fire, utility or network outage, government action, civil emergency, venue closure, supply interruption, or unsafe conditions can delay or prevent delivery.

12.2. If we learn that we cannot deliver within a promised time, we will provide notice and, as applicable, offer a revised date for approval or the right to cancel for a prompt refund. We will not require store credit when law requires a refund to the original payment method.

12.3. If we determine that we cannot complete an undelivered order, we will cancel and refund the undelivered item and any charge attributable solely to that undelivered item, as required by law.

13. Care and risk after completed delivery

13.1. After completed delivery or pickup, the recipient or purchaser is responsible for promptly bringing flowers into a suitable environment and following the care guide that matches the arrangement type.

13.2. We are not responsible for theft, removal by property staff, animal damage, heat exposure, lack of water, mishandling, or other deterioration occurring after a proper documented handoff or safe drop, except to the extent caused by a defect existing at delivery.

14. Pickup and contact

14.1. Pickup is available only when arranged and confirmed. The collector may be asked for the purchaser name or order number. Late pickup can affect freshness and does not extend a claim period.

14.2. For delivery questions, contact hello@dopamineflowers.com or +1 (808) 824-4422 and include the order number.
