Privacy policy
Last updated: July 31, 2026.
How to cite this policy. Each rule has a section number (for example, Section 4.2). References to a section include its subsections.
1. Scope and responsible business
1.1. This Privacy Policy explains how Dopamine Flowers LLC ("Dopamine Flowers," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information when a person visits dopamineflowers.com, buys or receives an order, requests custom work, joins a reminder, communicates with us, or otherwise uses our services.
1.2. Dopamine Flowers is the merchant responsible for its store and customer relationship. Shopify hosts the online store and processes information as described in Section 6. This policy does not replace the privacy notice of a third-party website or service that a person chooses to use.
2. Information we collect
2.1. Customer and purchaser information may include name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, account details, order history, selected delivery date and window, gift message, notes, custom design requests, reminder dates, and communications with our team.
2.2. Recipient information may include the recipient's name, telephone number, delivery address, workplace or facility, room or unit, access instructions, relationship or occasion information supplied by the purchaser, and delivery communications. A purchaser must have a lawful reason to provide another person's information and should provide only what is reasonably necessary for the gift and delivery.
2.3. Transaction information may include products viewed or purchased, cart activity, discounts, taxes, delivery fees, payment status, refunds, disputes, and fraud indicators. Shopify and payment providers process payment credentials. We do not intentionally store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes in our own staff systems.
2.4. Delivery and fulfillment records may include courier tracking events, call or text logs, delivery notes, drop-off location, timestamps, bouquet-proof photographs, delivery-proof photographs, and related support records. A delivery photo is intended to document the arrangement and handoff or location, not to identify bystanders unnecessarily.
2.5. Technical information may include IP address, device and browser type, operating system, cookie or similar identifiers, approximate location inferred from an IP address, referring page, pages viewed, checkout activity, and security logs.
3. Sources of information
3.1. We collect information directly from purchasers, recipients, website visitors, custom-order customers, and people who contact us.
3.2. We receive information automatically through the website, cookies, analytics, security tools, and Shopify.
3.3. We may receive information from service providers and partners involved in payment, fraud prevention, delivery, customer support, email, SMS, reminders, reviews, advertising, and analytics.
4. How we use information
4.1. We use information to accept payment; prepare, personalize, deliver, reschedule, replace, or refund orders; coordinate with a purchaser, recipient, venue, or courier; and provide customer support.
4.2. We use information to create and administer custom orders, payment links, event or wedding requests, reminders requested by a user, accounts, reviews, promotions, and other store features.
4.3. We use information to secure the store, authenticate users, detect fraud or abuse, maintain business records, measure performance, improve products and operations, enforce our terms, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
4.4. We may use contact information for marketing when permitted by law. Transactional communications about an order, delivery, payment, safety issue, or requested reminder are not treated as marketing solely because they concern a purchase.
5. When we disclose information
5.1. We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to operate the business and provide the requested service. Recipients may receive the purchaser's name and gift message when the purchaser includes them. Purchasers may receive order and delivery status, including delivery proof, but we do not promise to disclose a recipient's private response or unrelated personal information.
5.2. Service-provider categories include Shopify, payment processors, fraud-prevention providers, hosting and database providers, delivery providers and couriers (including Uber Direct or a similar provider), email and SMS providers, analytics and advertising providers, review platforms, cloud storage, and professional advisers.
5.3. We may disclose information when a person directs or consents to the disclosure; when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, a payment dispute, safety issue, or violation of our policies; when required by valid legal process; or in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of the business.
5.4. We do not knowingly sell personal information for money. Some analytics, advertising, or Shopify enhanced services can be considered a "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising under certain state laws even when no money is exchanged. Choices that may apply are described in Section 11.
6. Shopify and payment processing
6.1. Shopify hosts our store and processes information to provide checkout, payments, fraud screening, analytics, customer accounts, and other commerce services. Information may be processed in countries other than the person's home country.
6.2. Shopify may process information across interactions with Shopify and other merchants when Shopify Network Intelligence or enhanced services are enabled. Shopify is responsible for certain processing it performs for its own purposes. Shopify's consumer privacy information and controls are available at privacy.shopify.com.
6.3. Payment providers determine whether to approve a transaction and retain payment records under their own legal duties. We receive transaction status and limited payment details needed to administer the order.
7. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
7.1. The store uses cookies and similar technologies for essential cart and checkout functions, security, preferences, performance measurement, analytics, and, when enabled, advertising.
7.2. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the cart, checkout, account, or privacy controls from working. Where required, Shopify's cookie banner or privacy controls provide additional choices.
7.3. Where required by applicable law and supported by our platform settings, we treat a recognized Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request for the browser or device sending it.
8. Email, SMS, calls, and reminders
8.1. We may email, call, or text a purchaser or recipient to coordinate an order, resolve an issue, provide a payment link, confirm delivery, respond to support, or deliver a reminder requested by a user.
8.2. Marketing email includes an unsubscribe method. Opting out of marketing does not stop necessary order, account, safety, legal, or customer-service messages.
8.3. For automated or recurring SMS, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out of applicable automated texts or HELP for help. A person may also contact us using Section 14. Carrier delivery is not guaranteed.
9. Retention
9.1. We retain information for only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including order fulfillment, flower-quality and delivery records, customer support, reminders, accounting and tax records, fraud prevention, chargeback defense, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.
9.2. Retention periods differ by record type. We may retain a minimal record after an opt-out or deletion request to document the request, honor communication preferences, complete a transaction, comply with law, or establish and defend legal claims.
10. Security
10.1. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No system or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10.2. Do not send complete card numbers, government identification numbers, medical records, account passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive information in a gift message, delivery note, email, or text.
11. Privacy rights and choices
11.1. Depending on where a person lives and subject to legal exceptions, the person may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; to opt out of certain sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; to limit certain sensitive-data uses; and to appeal a denied request.
11.2. A request may be submitted using Section 14. We may verify identity and authority before acting. An authorized agent may be required to provide signed permission, and we may ask the person to verify directly. We will not unlawfully discriminate against a person for exercising a privacy right.
11.3. A request can be limited or denied when permitted by law, including when information is needed to complete an order, protect security, keep required records, prevent fraud, exercise legal rights, or protect another person's privacy. Recipient information supplied by a purchaser may implicate both people, and we will balance those interests.
11.4. Shopify-specific access, deletion, and advertising choices may also be available at Shopify Privacy Controls.
12. Children
12.1. Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information should contact us.
12.2. We do not knowingly sell or share for targeted advertising the personal information of a person under 16.
13. Changes
13.1. We may update this policy to reflect operational, legal, or technical changes. The revised policy will show a new "Last updated" date and will apply when posted, except when applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
